## Direction

Working towards AI engineering over the next two years, then forward deployed engineering: taking AI systems into organisations and owning the outcome end to end. Studying for a B.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at Miva Open University alongside (September 2026 cohort), and working towards ethical, responsible AI in Africa. Currently researching evals and inference engineering.

## AI Study Group

A free, self-paced academy he runs at [/academy/](academy/): "a creative workspace for learning AI engineering together".

- **Tracks:** 14 tracks in five faculties: Foundations, Build, Run, Pay and Care. Open now: T1 Agentic AI engineer roadmap, T2 Ethical AI in Africa, T5 Harness engineering (new; it follows WalkingLabs' MIT-licensed Learn Harness Engineering, with credit, re-checked against primary sources), T3 Inference engineering basics (new; prefill and decode, latency you can measure, memory, quantisation, batching and caching, on a laptop; it draws on Rohit Ghumare's MIT-licensed AI Engineering from Scratch, with credit, every number re-checked), T8 Evals and observability (new; error analysis, test sets from real conversations, code checks, LLM judges validated against human labels, paired statistics, CI, agent reliability with pass^k and OpenTelemetry tracing, with every source re-checked) and T9 AI security and red-teaming (new; prompt injection, jailbreaks across languages including Nigerian Pidgin, leak canaries, safe rendering of model output, least privilege for tools with approvals and audit logs, supply-chain checks for models, packages and MCP servers, and red-teaming your own bot with harmless flags, measured with intervals; it also draws on AI Engineering from Scratch, with credit, every claim re-checked). Lessons in T3, T5, T8 and T9 end with something learners keep: a script, a template or a checklist. Coming: T4 Onchain agents on Celo, T6 The agentic economy (agent payments on card rails and onchain: x402, MPP, AP2, ACP, UCP, ERC-8004), T7 Python and ML foundations, T10 Voice agents, T11 Open models and fine-tuning, T12 Retrieval and knowledge engineering, T13 AI products and founders, T14 African language AI.
- **Direction:** growing into an open school for AI engineers, with learning paths (agent engineer, onchain agent builder, voice agent engineer, model engineer, AI founder, responsible AI lead). The plan is to publish the curriculum as open source.
- **Format:** short numbered lessons with inline checks, a phase quiz graded on the server, XP, levels and weekly streaks, and three certificate tiers per track (Explorer, Scholar, Builder).
- **Certificates:** claimed in the browser; they can also be minted on Celo as soulbound tokens, one per learner, track and tier, once the certificate contract is live.
- **Cost:** free. No sign-up; progress stays on the learner's device.
